TRACK Terms of Service

LOCAL REVIEW DRAFT — NOT APPROVED FOR PUBLICATION

No effective or revision date has been approved. Operator identity, applicable legal requirements, provider details and data practices require confirmation. This draft is based on existing project legal content; it is not a statement that production policies have changed.

These Terms of Service govern your use of TRACK. By creating an account or using TRACK, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What TRACK is

TRACK is a subscription-management tool. It helps you organize subscription information and may identify possible recurring subscriptions from information you enter or from connected bank and Gmail sources.

TRACK is not a bank, financial adviser, payment processor, legal adviser, or subscription provider. TRACK does not move money, process subscription payments, purchase subscriptions, control merchant accounts, or guarantee that a merchant will cancel a subscription.

2. Accounts and responsibilities

You must provide accurate account information, keep your password confidential, and protect access to your device and account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for reviewing information before relying on it.

You may not impersonate another person, create an account using information you do not have permission to use, bypass security controls, or use TRACK if applicable law or these Terms prohibit you from doing so.

3. Permitted and prohibited use

You may use TRACK for your own personal subscription organization and for other lawful purposes supported by the product. You may not probe or disrupt the service, introduce malware, scrape or copy the service in an abusive way, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with another user's account, or use TRACK to violate the rights or privacy of another person.

4. Connected banks and Gmail

Connecting a bank or Gmail account is optional. You authorize the relevant provider connection when you choose to connect it. Bank data is accessed through Plaid. Gmail access uses Google's read-only Gmail scope and is limited to finding and processing information relevant to subscription detection.

You may disconnect a connected service in TRACK. The availability, accuracy, and continued operation of a third-party connection depend in part on that provider. You must have the right to connect the account and must not connect another person's account without permission.

TRACK has no direct Apple subscription connection or import. Apple-billed subscription activity may be detected through connected bank or Gmail evidence. Apple subscription management takes place through Apple's external management experience.

5. Detection results and AI assistant

Detected subscription information is an estimate or possible match and may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Some detections may require your review and confirmation before they are treated as active subscriptions. You must review merchant names, amounts, dates, billing cycles, evidence, and other details before acting on them.

The assistant and smart analysis provide general, advisory information based on available subscription context. They are not financial, legal, tax, or other professional advice. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. TRACK does not automatically cancel or change subscriptions; you remain responsible for contacting merchants and managing your accounts.

6. Financial-information disclaimer

TRACK may display financial transaction and payment information supplied by connected services or entered by you. TRACK does not verify that the information is complete or correct and does not recommend financial actions. Check the original bank, merchant, or account provider before making a financial decision.

7. Third-party services

TRACK relies on third-party services including Plaid, Google/Gmail, OpenAI when enabled, Resend for transactional email, and backend infrastructure [current hosting and database providers must be confirmed before publication]. Your use of those services may be governed by their separate terms and policies. TRACK is not responsible for a third party's service, content, availability, or practices.

8. Your content and data

You retain responsibility for information you enter or connect to TRACK and for having the rights and permissions needed to use it. You give TRACK the limited permission needed to host, process, display, synchronize, and back up that information as part of providing the service.

9. Suspension and termination

TRACK may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, providers, or security, or when you materially violate these Terms. You may stop using TRACK at any time. You can request permanent account deletion through the account controls in Settings.

10. Availability and changes

TRACK may be unavailable, delayed, or changed without guaranteeing uninterrupted access or a particular detection result. Third-party outages, changes, network failures, maintenance, and circumstances outside TRACK's control can affect the service.

TRACK may update these Terms as the product changes. The current version will be posted at this URL. Continued use after an update means that you have had an opportunity to review the updated Terms.

11. Intellectual property

TRACK and its software, branding, design, and content are owned by TRACK or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms give you permission to use the service as provided; they do not transfer ownership or grant rights to copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer TRACK except where the law allows it.

12. Disclaimers and limitations

To the extent permitted by law, TRACK is provided on an as-available basis without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, TRACK will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages arising from use of the service. Any additional limitation required by applicable law will apply only to the extent allowed by that law.
